'Join us for an evening of honest conversations and valuable insights during Dying Matters Awareness Week' said Queenscourt Hospice - and QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall did just that on Tuesday evening at Aughton Christ Church Ministry Centre.
He joined around 80 other folk, a number of funeral directors, church ministers and charities all involved in various aspects of death and dying.
It's a sobering topic but the meeting encouraged folk to think about its inevitability - and how they can prepare practically, financially and spiritually thanks to two enlightening addresses by Dr. Clare Finnegan of Queenscourt and Rev. Eileen Heaney from St. Mark's CE Church, Scarisbrick.
Feedback forms from the event should indicate if another is held soon with its important subject matter for young and old...
